What is the biggest and most mysterious secret that you have not revealed to anyone?

When I was 17 I fell in love with a mechanic who had a shop near my house. Atleast I thought it was love. We never had any physical encounters. He always wanted to but I told him only after we get married. I used to miss college to be with him. This went on for 2 years. I was in my second year when one of my teachers found out and told this to my parents. My father became really serious and told I can’t marry him because he is poor and belongs to a lower caste and can’t take care of me. I tried arguing with him but didn’t work. I always knew that my family had caste feeling. This made me think that my father was not accepting my relationship with him only because of caste. I told what has happened to him. He told me that we love with us and we both are majors so we’ll get married. He also told me that his parents might not accept our wedding as I belonged to a different caste. What is the most soul-satisfying thing you have ever done in your life?

I was travelling in an auto in Bangalore 6 months back. The auto driver was frantically making calls constantly and talking in the local language which I don't completely understand. But 15 minutes into the call I understood that he was trying to call different people who had earlier promised to pay him small sums of money so he could get his son admitted into a college. He was turning out to be 1500 short and was constantly pleading with people on the phone to give him that money, to no avail.  I got off the rickshaw and paid the fare, and when the auto was about to leave, I stopped him and took out 1500 rupees and handed it to him. I had waited before paying because I wanted to ensure that it wasn't an act that he was carrying out.  The guy, at first didn't accept the money, but with some persuasion thanked me profusely and accepted the money. I wake up to a life I should not have, and a mindset far too mature for my delicate age of 8 years old. My mother shakes me awake from the top of my bunk bed where I lie. She reminds me it’s Friday, and our last day of school. I have 15 instead of 30 minutes to get ready today, because my mother forgot our alarm again. I walk in the living room and she tells me to have a good day at school, while my stepfather laughs and sarcastically says, “Yeah, right”. I get to school, our final day of third grade has begun. Mrs. Ford calls all of our names for the final time, and we get a run-down on our fun activities for the day. We have a bouncy house, music, board games, and relay races. What has been the biggest plot twist in your life?

I was young, I was dumb, I was sleeping with my boss. I was 20 at the time, he was 28, we had been working together for two years before the start of our little tryst. After a month, he was actively sleeping with other people and I was entertaining the idea of starting a new relationship with a guy from my University - when I found out that I was pregnant. I shared this with my ‘boss’, who instantly said I needed to get an abortion, and I didn’t disagree. That night, we were just talking, and out of the blue I said “You know, if you wanted to have this baby, I would have it with you.” He sat in stunned silence for about thirty seconds, before  proposing  to me. Then it was MY turn to sit in stunned silence! We knew each other fairly well at this point, and figured we would make a good team. Unfortunately, we miscarried early - but we married anyway, and have been living and working happily together for over six years. (Although now I don’t call him my boss!)...
