What has been the biggest plot twist in your life?

I was young, I was dumb, I was sleeping with my boss.
I was 20 at the time, he was 28, we had been working together for two years before the start of our little tryst.
After a month, he was actively sleeping with other people and I was entertaining the idea of starting a new relationship with a guy from my University - when I found out that I was pregnant.
I shared this with my ‘boss’, who instantly said I needed to get an abortion, and I didn’t disagree.
That night, we were just talking, and out of the blue I said “You know, if you wanted to have this baby, I would have it with you.” He sat in stunned silence for about thirty seconds, before proposing to me.
Then it was MY turn to sit in stunned silence!
We knew each other fairly well at this point, and figured we would make a good team. Unfortunately, we miscarried early - but we married anyway, and have been living and working happily together for over six years. (Although now I don’t call him my boss!)
Everyday we share together is a BLAST and I can’t believe how close I came to letting my perfect life-partner slip by.
